Dear Google,
We the undersigned of this petition at
Googleauctionsite.net are petitioning to you to run your own online auction
site. An auction site similar in ways to that of the Ebay auction sites, where
people can buy or sell new or used items and products. However, different in the
way it is run as some of us as current and ex-Ebayers are not happy using Ebay
due to past and current bad experiences. Some of these experiences, aswell as
our opinions will be posted on Googleauctionsite.net to further express our
disappointment, and support our petition to you.
Reasons why we are not happy with Ebay include
the current situation regarding Paypal, whereby Ebay is now forcing all sellers
to offer Paypal to buyers as from the end of April 2008. This comes across as
bully tactics, to put even more money into Ebay through PayPal which it is the
parent company of. Many of us wanted to use Google Checkout as a payment
option on Ebay, but realise that your payment method is banned on Ebay,
therefore forcing people to use PayPal with its higher fees.
Google, we do realise that there are other
alternative auction sites to Ebay available, and some of us will be forced to
turn to these less popular sites. What
we ask though, is that you seriously consider going head to head with Ebay, to
give the many disgruntled Ebay users a new home. Google has in the
past provided some fantastic services to its users, and continues to do so.
Google has the presence; is a dominant force. We urge you to consider this
petition as a matter of urgency, and provide a healthy competition to give the
public a choice.

Please note that we are in no way affiliated with
Google, nor do they endorse us in any way. We are simply petitioning Google to
provide an auction site to rival that of Ebay, and therefore give users a
choice. Please also note that all opinions and stories posted on this site are
submitted by users of this site and therefore we cannot guarantee the accuracy
of those mentioned.
