I thought of the idea this site is promoting, but of course, someone's thought of it first.
However, to get signatures, I feel we should all pass the word to other ebay customers/sellers. I know that through my email account, I can send emails to all the ebay buyers I've had deals with, and this is the same w/all powersellers. It would take a long list of email addresses, but once it's forwarded, it could take off. Of course you would not do it through the ebay "contact seller/buyer option" but directly through the email ebay forwards to you.

eBay has now had it's day. Their 'rules' have ruined the site and they have become a dictatorship, not an Auction site! Google have the power and means to run their own Auction site and could learn from eBay's mistakes. I've been thinking exactly this for quite a while now in fact! eBay need a strong competitor. There are so many unhappy sellers and buyers who would gladly move to a professional, well run Auction site who care for ALL their members. I would be one of the first to sign up and say Goodbye to eBay for good. It's a fantastic idea.

Now is the time!! Google should strike while the iron is hot!! Millions of Ebay sellers are now seething with anger. After this latest slap in the face, they will never trust Ebay again.
Ebay has gone from hosting an interactive community of very satisfied and loyal buyers and sellers to an arrogant and almost vicious taskmaster. They are acting as if they own the buyers and sellers dictating even how much to charge for shipping. The new DSR requirements are outrageous, they are threatening to suspend sellers who fall below 4.3 on any item which is actually a rating somewhere between good and excellent. If you depend on Ebay for your living, a months suspension could be disastrous. All it would take is couple of irritable buyers to lower your DSRs to that level in a slow month.
I have been a loyal ebayer for 4 years with a consistent silver power seller rating and 100% positive feedback. These recent changes are too much even for me to take! Bring on a Google auction site and I'll be there yesterday. I believe google is the only one big enough to take on Feebay and with Google checkout they are ready to go.

I do think the site needs to be non-restrictive, non-political, anti-censor. EBay has done so much left-wing "you can't sell that here because we don't like it" that it's almost useless to certain groups, who have no useful alternative. Thank you.
